Albuquerque Shopping - Uptown

ABQ Uptown: Indian School NE & Louisiana Blvd, Albuquerque, NM 87110, Opening Hours: Monday-Thursday 10am-9pm, Friday/Saturday 10am-10pm, Sunday 12pm-6pm, Website: www.abquptown.com.
As the city’s most prominent shopping and dining destination, the Uptown area of Albuquerque is home to the appropriately named ABQ Uptown - an outdoor mall consisting of 220,000 square feet of retail space, including well-known names such as Borders and The Apple Store. Primarily focusing upon upscale fashion, lifestyle and home furnishing brands, you’ll find branches of Ann Taylor, Coldwater Creek, Pottery Barn, L’Occitane en Provence and MAC Cosmetics, while food and drink comes courtesy of The Elephant Bar Restaurant, McAlister’s Deli, Starbucks and Bravo! Cucina Italiana.

Just west of ABQ Uptown you’ll also find the Coronado Center (6600 Menaul, NE, Suite #1, Albuquerque, NM 87110, Phone: (505) 881-4600, Opening Hours: Monday-Saturday 10am-9pm, Sunday 11am-7pm). Anchored by Macy’s, JCPenney, Mervyn’s and Sears, it houses more than 150 specialty stores, including The Body Shop, Aeropostale, Banana Republic and American Eagle.

The area’s original large-scale mall - the 82-acre Winrock Center, is now largely devoid of tenants, though Dillard’s and Borders Books & Music still have a presence there. To all intents and purposes a "ghost" or "dead mall", it will likely undergo significant redevelopment in the near future (with a scheme along the lines of the outdoor ABQ Uptown).
